Business Segment Overview:

Position Purpose: We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our growing Corporate Communications team as Senior Specialist, Corporate Communications, UK. This individual will collaborate with UK and European-based executives, spokespeople, and marketing teams to deliver clear, consistent, and positive messaging and stories with the media and across key communications channels.

 

The role will create, drive and implement both regional and global communications strategies, develop strong relationships within the business, manage relationships with the media, and drive performance against strategic goals — including brand awareness, executive visibility through media coverage, events and presentations, and additional marketing initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include

 

  • Manage and execute the strategic communications strategy for UK and EU, aligned with communications, marketing and business objectives
  • Develop and manage relationships between media and StoneX representatives
  • Proactively pitch the StoneX business and representatives for commentary pickup, thought leadership, and other relevant opportunities for exposure
  • Draft press materials, talking points, executive op-eds, and marketing communications
  • Train and support to StoneX representatives for various media formats
  • Provide crisis and issues management support to regional and global leadership
  • Oversee media monitoring to track news coverage and guide strategy based on positive and negative media trends
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Product, Legal, HR, Online Reputation Management and Executive teams
  • Develop frameworks for regional communications strategies, including performance metrics, in alignment with communications’ leadership expectations and global frameworks
  • Provide timely impact reports on regional communications strategies
  • Other related communications duties as needed

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

  • 8-10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media relations, referably with a mix of in-house and agency roles
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience and comfort working with and influencing senior leaders
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Deep media relationships across the UK and Europe, including top-tier financial, business, and trade publications
  • Ability to distill and communicate complex financial topics across varied audiences and formats
  • Experience working in matrixed, international organizations and cross-functional teams
  • Experience with metrics-based and sentiment-based reporting
  • Experience integrating media outreach with broader marketing initiatives, such as thought leadership, events, and digital content

Education / Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English or a similar field of study.

  • Ability to work independently and across global teams
  • Flexibility to operate across time zones to support business and high-priority communications
